[Milla is in a resident's house in Nia Khera, bending over the iron pot in the center of the room. It's sitting atop a flame and a nice aroma fills the dwelling.

[Hey, you. Yes, all of you. Whatever public place you're in -- a street, an inn, a store -- this lady's standing off to the side and observing the crowd. She's not exactly giving off shy vibes; she just looks casually from person to person as they pass, as if she's patiently searching for something. Or maybe she isn't.]

SCENARIO #3

[Here is a library, and here is Milla in the library. She's gathered a good number of books on a table and now peruses one of them. A glance at the spines reveals a variety of topics: history, psychology, human biology, child-rearing, cooking, linguistics, marital advice. Anything and everything human-based.]

[It's a realistic probability, so Milla takes no offense at that; there's no guarantee this food will turn out well, and her people are always so eager to please her. Simple truths.

She can't help but smile at her elder sister, however.]

The first time I ate something, it was a strange sensation, indeed. It takes some time to adjust to the sensation [chewing and swallowing were so weird at first], but the taste can be worth the endeavor.

[And speaking of Jude--]

...Jude's cooking was actually the first food I tasted. He's very good at it; I can ask him to cook for all of us when he returns.

[It seems foolhardy to also endulge in eating, but... sometimes you find something good when you're not expecting it, from experience and also observation.] Hmm. Perhaps a little, then, when you've perfected it.

[She chuckles at the fact Jude's already good at food preperation; it's unsurprising.] Jude's a real catch, isn't he? He's such a giving person. [Not only is he a wonderful tetherer, but he makes good food too!] I'll take anything he has to offer.

[...Milla still hasn't forgotten about All of That, either -- but if she doesn't hold the deaths of the elders against Muzét, she won't do so with something so significantly smaller. ~~Maybe~~

She stirs the pot with the ladle a few times before letting it simmer again, just as the recipe called for.]

Indeed, he's very generous. [Generally speaking. She wouldn't know about his tendencies as a tetherer -- at least, if not for your bits of TMI.] He's not the type to turn others down, whatever the reason.

[She gives just enough of a harmless smile to suggest that she's not trying to harp (or name any names) or anything as she glances sidelong at Muzét.] But I hope no one takes advantage of his nature. Jude's no fool, but he has a particularly soft spot regarding his allies.

[She wouldn't mind if you did, Milla dearest; she had her own vendetta at the time, and it didn't match with yours, whether hers was good or bad or no. It just was. It happened.]

It be unfortunate if someone were to take advantage of. But, I also hope he never loses that quality about him. That would be a bigger shame.

[Milla seems to consider that for a moment. Finally, she gives a small smile and a slight "hmm" of amusement.]

It's difficult to picture you saying something like that only a year ago. I take it you've grown fonder of humans yourself since then.

It does seem that way, doesn't it? [Muzét stop talking about yourself as if you're not here.] Besides, it would be wrong of me not to find out more about the creatures that fascinate my sister so. [If you want to give them a chance, so can she. Maybe. Kind of.]

And some of them are hard to put aside once you get to know them.

[Yeah it's just Jude and Gaius. Yeah.]

Agreed. I've found most humans to be that way, even if it's not always in a positive light. But they do--

[Soaking the fire and the deadly pot and... half the floor... and some of the walls...

...I never knew cooking could be hazardous. Jude and Ivar make it look so easy.

My, my. I'm fairly certain that's not supposed to happen.

[You don't mind if Muzét helpfully watches this disaster unfold, do you? Physical labour. Even just lifting a finger to magically fix things. So much effort. Great Spirits shouldn't lower themselves to such things.]

I'm surprised Ivar has not materialised on the spot to object. Your former handmaid was rather overprotective.

All the same, sure, yeah, this must be some elderly sister thing, right? Teaching the younger sis to clean up her own messes. Or something.

But Milla does bend down to investigate the smoldering remains of the fire, poking at it with a spare piece of firewood to test it before she risks anything else.]

He was. But I imagine he would have insisted on refusing my desire to cook in the first place. He considered such mundane tasks beneath me.

[No arrogance in that statement, either. That's just how Ivar is. Or was.

And since it's Muzét, Milla will be open with her personal thoughts at the moment.]

I always admired his skill, but considered his attitude to be overbearing at times. It's odd to think that I miss that ridiculous behavior now. At least, I don't think ill of the memory.

Muzét gives a shrug and smiles slightly.]

I suppose we miss what we get used to. [She tilts her head.] Though that's always felt like more of a human trait to me... but even we spirits can form those same attachments.

If it is a human trait, I personally find it to be among the more admirable ones. [She dusts off her hands as she stands again.] They typically view people and things in the sense of being individual -- something I'd never done before. This contributes to their propensity for developing strong emotional attachments.

[She pauses, thinking over her own words just now, and then can't help a small smile at some inner joke.]

...In that regard, I suppose I can be called human.
