[Milla might be able to handle freezing temperatures while wearing much less, but Luke is not the Lord of Spirits so you can all shut up. >:| He's gotten wiser this year, at least, and has changed from his usual wardrobe into something more sensibly fitting for the cold.

And why shouldn't he be outside? Sure, snow gets pretty annoying after the first fifteen minutes, but there are just some things you need to enjoy

[Have a tiny Fon Master semi-struggling his way through the snow towards you, brightly-wrapped package in hand.]

[Ion if the snow is above ankle-deep you know you shouldn't be out here you might drown in it

STILL, Luke turns with a smile at the voice.]

Hey, Ion. What're you doing out here?

[...Luke are you one to talk no I didn't think so]

[...It's a little over knee-deep, which makes it pretty hard to walk in. But this is important, or, well...at least it's important to Ion. He's panting and his face is pink with exertion by the time he reaches the other boy, but his smile is wide and happy.]

I was looking for you, actually.

[He holds out the package, clearly wanting Luke to take it.]

This is for you!

Me?

[He blinks at it like he's never seen a present before.]

What for?

[ah crap now he's gonna feel all self-conscious here in a second

[If Ion notices that self-consciousness (and he certainly does), he hides it well, his smile remaining bright and unwavering despite the older boy's sudden awkwardness.]

It's a long-standing tradition to give gifts to those who you care about at this time of year, and I care about you a lot, Luke. You're a very dear friend.

[He keeps holding out the present, though he doesn't shove it at the other replica; the little Fon Master has no intention of forcing it on him, in case it turns out that Luke would rather not accept his gift for some reason.]

Well, yeah, I know that--

[That comes out defensive and a little snappy (he's not THAT sheltered gosh) but Luke stops himself partway through. After a moment, again looking unsure of himself and a tad self-conscious, he reaches out to take the gift -- but he only grasps it, without pulling it from Ion yet.]

I mean... uh -- thanks, Ion. But I didn't... really get anything for anyone -- yet -- so...

[So HE MIGHT NOT DESERVE IT BECAUSE HE'S A REPLICA AND DOESN'T DESERVE ANYTHING!!??]

[The little Fon Master doesn't take offense at Luke's tone--he knows Luke too well for that, and it just isn't in his nature to get upset about being snapped at over something like this. Instead he just smiles a little wider, though he still doesn't push the package towards Luke. The older boy will take it if he wants it, and if he doesn't, well. Ion won't take offense at that either, even if it would be a little disappointing.]

Don't worry about that, Luke. You don't need to buy me anything. Just being my friend is more than enough of a gift for me.

[He gives a little chuckle as he adds:]

Besides, how many times have you rescued me now? I'm the one who owes you!
