[Free for all] Christmastiiiiime is heeeere

CHRISTMASTIME
- comment with your character(s). leave blank or write starters or whatever floats your friggin' boat
- respond to others
- CHRISTMAS. CHEER. SNOW. MISTLETOE. JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON etc
- or winter solstice/whatever exists in your character's world but do technicalities really matter I thought not
- CATCH (because there has to be one): no Scrooges!! no matter how grumpy you might normally be at this (or any other) time of year, you suddenly find yourself in the Christmas spirit and partaking in Christmas things. That doesn't mean you're necessarily going to enjoy it, but you can't quite stop, either...
- BE LOVELY, FRIENDS
LET HER LOVE YOU
--and then gives a loud yip when she's rewarded with a smack to the face, scrambling madly backwards and tripping clumsily over herself as she tries to get away from the pain searing her poor nose.
Ven acts, catching her by the collar and needing both hands -- because while that dog's still an adolescent, she's big, and Ven is smol -- for the few seconds it takes to calm her down.]
Easy, easy! It's okay! Here, let me see-- [It takes a few tries and some more soothing words, but he's finally able to catch the dog's snout and hold her still, examining the painful-looking scratch marks. He sends Mogget the briefest of unreadable looks after a moment -- he does sense residual magic in those scratches -- but then his attention's back on the dog, who continues to whimper and whine as if it's the end of the world.] Hey, come on, it's not so bad. Don't cry -- here. [There's a brief, warm glow around his hand and the dog's nose; when it fades and he lets go, those slashes are gone for the most part, although they're still faintly visible -- which makes him frown. That level of healing should have been more than enough to do away with a wound that small.
Still, it appears to have done a lot for the pain, because the dog immediately stands up and starts wagging her tail again, tongue lolling out happily. Ven keeps a firm hold on her collar as he turns back to Mogget, one eyebrow raised. Not angry, just a tad exasperated.]
That was a little drastic, don't you think? She won't hurt anybody.
[
GUESS WHO'S MORE OF A DOG PERSON]MOGGET DOES NOT NEED OR WANT THIS LOVE
GUESS WHO ISN'T SORRY AT ALL]No. Perhaps next time, she won't stick her nose where it doesn't belong.
[That said, he pads through the open door, though he does keep a downplayed but watchful half-eye on the dog. Even if one doesn't expect trouble, it's best not to take some things for granted.
Also, his catlike-ness isn't always something he can resist, or fully realises he's doing.
BUT ANYWAY
FOOD
CAT IS HEADING THAT WAY]
